Benefits of Kiwi

Did you know that you can actually eat the fuzzy skin of a kiwi? The flesh is full of dietary fibre and tons and antioxidants (cancer fighting properties). Kiwi's are fantastic for the gut microbiome and I learned from Dr. William Li who is a brilliant physician with focus on cancer prevention said that "just 1 kiwi a day will protect your DNA by about 60%" (Li). So incorporating a kiwi or 3 throughout the day can actually rebuild damaged DNA!

Is Chocolate Good For You?

Despite most people's fear of chocolate, it is actually super beneficial for our general health. Now I'm not talking about milk chocolate full of added sugar...I am talking about pure cocoa, dark chocolate! Cocoa is actually a plant based food as it comes from the cocoa pod. 

 

Chocolate is packed full of polyphenols which are plant based compounds that are a high form of antioxidant that provide anti-inflammatory, anti-aging and decrease cancer risks!

You'll want to look for a chocolate that is at least 80% cocoa or higher!
